In collaboration with EGL USA, we scanned various types of natural pearls using the Skyscan 1172 and 1173 microCT scanners. Featured in this video is a 3D movie of a giant clam white pearl at 15 micron pixel resolution. The goal was to view density distributions and see any obscurities on the pearl surface
